OUR TRUTH

Too many appointments, too many responsibilities, and no time to check the clock. We forget the one person needed to keep that appointment, that "YOU" need to be sound in mind, body, and soul. To be able to fulfill all those responsibilities. I can almost imagine how our body, mind, or even our soul feels when we overwork them. At this point, I wish they had a voice so that; they could put to words their opinions.
The simple story of workaholics is that they do not have the time to rest as they have a limited period to sort out everything on their to-do list. Then again, I wonder where really the time comes from when they fall sick, are involved in an accident, or need to attend to the needs of a loved one?
One of the reasons God gave us freedom is to make decisions in periods like this. Where we are at liberty to continue on the time-consuming Job or resign or a demanding relationship or be in a position where we cannot make decisions for ourselves, but then I am shocked at how we are unhappy in situations but keep making excuses as to why we should continue on a journey we know will not end well. I am in this boat. That is why the WE is existent in that sentence.

I took a timeout a few weeks ago to ask myself a vital question; One that I do not think we ask ourselves, except when we are exhausted, even for those who take stock or re-evaluate their lives from time to time, I doubt that they factor in the "HOW AM I ?" question in their evaluation process.
YOU matter! As such, you should take care of yourself physically, emotionally, and mentally. According to the Bible, "we should guard our heart with all diligence." That means you have to take care of your heart with everything you have because the heart is a vital part of your existence, and when it is hurting, it affects every area of your life. Therefore, it is an assignment for you to start and end your day with your heart in the right place.
You uniquely do some things in your circle. When unavailable or without the strength to deliver, you deprive your loved ones of the opportunity to experience a rarity. You unconsciously steal the laughter from your spouse, family, friends, or colleagues, the giggles from your kids disappear and you also deprive yourself of the feeling of JOY you derive from bringing all these emotions into existence.
So I ask HOW ARE YOU? The above expectations do not matter if YOU the Joy giver is not fit to give. so take time to ask yourself truly, if you are not so stressed that the negative spirit in you has gained dominance over your extreme optimism or if you have lost yourself in trying to make everyone around feel important thereby losing yourself worth especially when situations like we typically say it "see finish" enters a relationship which is bound to happen if boundaries are not set or respected in whatever relationship we find ourselves.
It is one thing to be confident, it's another thing to have the emotional strength to back that confidence. So it is too important for you to take time out this week and find out how you are. I plead that you should truthfully answer the question without making excuses as to why you could not be in the best shape.
Till I come your way again next time STAY TRUE, STAY YOU.

People learn to manage businesses and jobs, but they fail to manage their bodies and souls. They want to work hard but don't want to be smart about it. They always want to be busy without first counting the cost. They want to be engaged without engaging the one who blesses the work of their hands.
